Harris Paints is maintaining its commitment to the preservation of Barbados’ architectural heritage through the continued refurbishment of the Taylor family house located on Wildey Main Road, St. Michael, Barbados. For the last six years, Harris Paints has repainted the traditional chattel house, showcasing their recently launched Ideas Card, as well as highlighting one of its top ten colours selected from a compiled list of the most popular colours produced from around the region.
The seasoned campaigners prevailed in the Harris Paints-sponsored Golf tournament played at the Lusignan Golf Course on Saturday January 22, 2011. Veteran golfer Boolaram Deo emerged victorious on a count back from Fazil Haniff in the medal play format tournament with a net score of 69 from a gross 84 playing off a 15 handicap.
2011 has marked another milestone for Harris Paints Dominica quality management goals, as they were successful in their annual audit for ISO 9001:2008. Harris Paints was originally certified in 2006.
Residents of the Nightengale Children’s Home are enjoying more attractive surroundings thanks to Harris Paints’ participation in the 2010 Clean Up Barbados Campaign organised by the Future Centre Trust. A team of Harris Paints employees, equipped with paint and paint supplies, recently visited the Black Rock children’s home to repaint the inside of one of the cottages as their innovative contribution to the campaign.
DEACONS PRIMARY SCHOOL will soon be repainted, thanks to a donation of 40 cans of paint by Harris Paints Barbados Limited. During a brief presentation ceremony at the school, Member of Parliament for the area, Chris Sinckler, congratulated the company for being community minded, while showing corporate social responsibility in a harsh economic climate.
The Forgotten Youth Foundation (FYF) Boxing Gym will get a well deserved facelift following a timely donation of several gallons of paint by Harris Paints, one of the leading local manufacturers of the product.
The gesture originated from a humble request to the administrators of the above mentioned paint manufacturers from President of the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA), Steve Ninvalle for assistance towards the rehabilitation of the Albouystown based facility.
